The rule is tds are allowed to play if there is less then 25 players. There points will count. yes they are working and because they are working they dont have the ability to go out an qualify like other players.(if you noticed tds must qualify for monthly tourneys now) also tds are never qualified for nightly prizes only monlty...thats the trade off, also last an for most our tds are players an work very hard to provide you with entertainment you enjoy for free..so come out an have good time, and invite friends that way they cant play. |

Hey gregg. Thanks for the heads up. We just discovered a bug that mixes up the names and player id numbers of players that are tied. This is not an error in the system, but in how the standings are calculated and does not affect the overall standings!! I will fix this over the next couple of days. |

very pointless indeed. it makes perfect sense to high card a table of 4 to get split. Similar to when a table has four and gets refilled when merged, there needs to be a high card to reasign the dealer position |

We have recorded your comments and they will be taken under consideration. Thank you for letting us know what you think about the latest changes. Still, we remind you all that we will now be giving out $1000 out at each monthly main event. That is $2000 monthly with a top 3 prize pool of $800.
We do apologize to the players who come out and support our establishments on a nightly basis. It is unfortunate that the few that show up to create trouble, skip on their tabs and/or do not purchase anything at all have ruined this experience for everybody else.
I do hope that our loyal players will keep playing for a chance to qualify in the new $1000 monthly event. We hope that this change of rules will weed out the people that show up specifically to make people's nights utterly miserable and ruin the league. |

Hey Eli. The simple answer is NO. The long answer is:
The venue points always add up everything that is in the database. For this reason, it is always the most accurate value. The same goes for the information obtained by using our 'Player Profile' page. As for the actual Area Standings, those are updated by myself several times a week. For this reason, they are never truly accurate until the month is completely over and all the results are in the system.
For example, in your case, I updated the Southside standings today at around noon. Then, at around 2PM the tournament director added another night, making the overall standings no longer 100% accurate. For this reason, when you checked the pages at around 4PM, they did not match any more. |

Ok, that is the problem exactly. As soon as I highlighted the text it showed up. The background is showing white as is the text. So it is an apparent layout issue not one of the sight not returning information. Sorry for the confusion.
BTW, I am always I am always happy to provide additional details. Thanks for your time and I hate text based conversations as they always come off wrong. My appologies for the elitist comment.

Chris: I was trying to help. In fact, for you to say that I sound elitist for trying to get more details and explaining my point of view just sounds plain ignorant. Up to know I have done my best to not sound condescending, which can be pretty hard to do.
I have to assume that people are computer illiterate when I am told a page cannot be seen and I know there is no problem with it. Have you ever called technical support for anything computer related? They are trained to explain to people how to find the START button!
Now, let's try to figure this out...
Since I still do not have enough details, let me assume certain things and try to find an answer. I assume you mean Season III southside standings. If you say that only the grid shows up, then this means the title doesn't show up either. The only way this can happen is if you have a white background. The page is designed to 'inherit' the background color of it's parent frame and has a white font. Therefore, if you open it in a new tab or window, it has no background to inherit and will show white text on a white background.
Is this the case? Then you can see the text by either highlighting it or by opening the page through the main page link. Either way, I could just make the text black again.
Also, as I stated before, these issues should be discussed via email in order to make sure they are resolved expediently. |

First, don't assume people that you are dealing with are computer illiterate its very condescending and makes you seem elitist. I am presently unable to see the season standings using the latest version of google chrome on my pc running windows vista. My PC is not the issue... All I see when I open the Seaspn standings for the southside is the layout grid.. I get no results filled in. I just checked again and the site is still not returning any information besides the layout grid. Just trying to help is all.

The website was designed using the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari; the four major browsers currently being used. It looks fine in all of them if you have the latest versions and a decent computer. In fact, the worst rendering is made by Internet Explorer, and if you use IE I recommend that you switch immediately to any other browser. IE is terrible.
Anyway, can you please tell me what "I am unable to view the website" means? I cannot fix something I cannot see if I do not have any specifics.
Thank you |

Hey Todd. All you have to do to play is show up at one of our locations and sit down and play. It's that simple. We have over 20 locations so you should be able to find a good spot around your area. |

As of now, we do not yet have an official sign up for the league. All you have to do is go to any of our locations and sign up with one of our tournament directors. There is no sign-up fee and it is 100% free to play. Also, make sure to 'friend' or 'like' us on facebook. Both links are on the right panel. Thanks for the inquiry and we hope you come out and play soon. |

Thanks for the support Jason. Players like you definitely keep this league going. We do appreciate everybody that comes out and supports the establishments that host our games. We know a lot of you spend plenty of money while you're out playing the games and we wouldn't be around without you.
Still, this brings me to the point Joey has been trying to make somewhat unsuccessfully. The truth is that there is a group of players that come out almost every night and do not spend a dime. And if they do, they buy one drink with unlimited refills and do not even tip their servers. This not only makes the establishment and its employees unhappy, but will/has cost us several bars. It's true that we provide free and fun poker games for all to play, but that doesn't change the fact that locations pay us to bring you there because they expect some business from each individual.
Again, we truly do appreciate the support from our players and I would never want to disrespect those of you who really do support us...
Thank you all and let's try to work together to keep our league going strong! It's been two great years and there are plenty more to come as long as we keep our venues happy. |

Joey I don't know why you try to explain anything to people whining about what you are doing on the Peninsula vs the Southside. Anyone who doesn't understand that the more events that take place, the more in the pot for everyone must be brain dead. Let's try this....if everyone supported the establishments better, you could charge more per event and give more in prizes to everyone. Instead of worrying about how easy they think it is to win in a certain location, how about coming out, be a good sport while playing free poker, have a meal and a few adult beverages and leave running the league to the owner. Better yet, to all the complainers, take the oppurtunity to organize something that over 500 people a week can do and make everyone happy. See how easy it is and the millions of dollars you make with absolutly no headaches. |

So the concerns of the people that support you and help "fund" your game is pointless? What does it matter what spot I'm in or what place I routinely finish? I'm just saying what people are thinking and dont have the moxi to say. I guess we'll start seeing what happens in the future if you dont start offering alternatives and show that you value those who come out and support you. Ohhh a coin!! So special. $100 dollars for a monthly that nets you almost $300! |

OK!!! This is how seats will be given out.
2 $1000 Seats will be given out based on customer appreciation/skill. Which is top over all point getter of peninsula an top point getter of south side.
3rd seat will be a $1500. There will be 2 3-day Tourneys one for peninsula Top 125. An one for south side Top 100.(you can qualify for both but only 1 seat can be won for day 4. Lowest 3-day combined score goes to play on day 4. There will be 32 from peninsula an 24 from south side. Day 4 Every one plays together an last man or woman standing wins $1500 seat. Remember each day is separate tourney so even if you do bad one day you still have chance!! 50+ place each day only gets you 50, an any place under 50 gets you that number you placed....if you have any ?'s feel free to call me 804-693-1796. |

What i said about opportunity is right. An yes both sides have skilled players. There are 2 types of tourneys 10-20 player event its small but tough with right people! theres no chip building in small event, so its still hard to get to 1st...maybe not 8 to 16 but top 3. Now 24 to 50 players your playing alot donkeys or unskilled players so theres a lot dodging...but it is easier to built chip stack then coast to final 8. |

No one should say that the Peninsula has more oppurtunity to make points than that of the Southside. The Peninsula might have more events but it has ALOT more people to play through. And the skill can't compare because the peninsula has alot of skilled players and even more "unskilled" players. You have a longer shot when you are playing 24-40 players a night than you do if you play 10-20 players a night. So really in all actuality the peninsula has less of a chance to win or even place in the points than those of the Southside. In fact, if you are gonna give out seats in the WSOP to the southside you should have a tourney for their seats rather than those of a point leader. On the Peninsula you should have one to the point leader and one to the tourney winner. |

An we have already talked about it....Everyone plays knowing the rule points are not awarded based on you being final 16 or 8 ...its combination 815pm an top 16 ....no one is awarded points until after break ....so look at it like that instead...hope i clarified the rule. I'm not sure of the reasons why every player has been banned or given time off, but I have been around for a number of them. Creating a hostal environment for tournement directors to have to deal with is very uncomfortable and most of the time makes us want to quit having to deal with it. I speak from experience. We don't make enough money to have to deal with rude, obnoxious or insensitive players on a normal basis, but when they get hostal and out of hand at a free poker tournement, it is rediculous. Thank your tournement director each and every time you see them. It really means a lot to us and if you are one of the obnoxious ones....stay home....the other players are fed up too and we really don't want to lose them. We all just want to have a peaceful but competitive couple of hours of our favorite pastime to make it thru another day. |

so if game started with 12 people 7pm an 701pm 4 more came in.but you where at final 2 tables do you not let them in?
There are catches to every rule...thats why we chip deduct heavily ...play slower till break. |

I agree with Joey. This only becomes a problem if people are whiny and bitchy and want to make it a problem. If someone has a problem with sharing their extra chips, they should let the table know before the brake, or stay around the table to make sure no one messes with their stack. Otherwise, this will always happen, whether it's allowed or not. |

At the tourney's at the casinos here in FLA, they chip up everyones whole chips to the next higher amount. All the odd chips sit in front of the player and they get a high card for each chip they have. The winner of the high cards gets the next higher chip value based on the total extra chips on the table. If four players each have three green chips this would total three black chips and they are awarded to the top three high cards. Good idea to get away from the trading chips fiasco |

James....The reason this is frowned upon is that it impacts betting in a live hand. If the player to your left doesn't think he can beat you, he won't bet, which reduces the pot. The player to your right is impacted because he loses chips in the pot if he beats you and the player to your left folds. |

Once a players cards are mucked and mixed with other mucked cards, it is no longer clear. The only way to figure out what cards belonged to who would require all players who mucked to reveal what they had in the middle of a live hand, which would be unacceptable.
If the cards were mucked, but separate from the muck pile and in front of the player it would be clear which cards were his.
In this case, the player, who was the dealer, called a bet, mucked his cards, mixed them in with the other mucked cards, then realized that he had mistakenly mucked his cards.
The best way to prevent this is to use a card cover or chip on your cards or to not push them across the line unless you intend to muck them.

If this method of finding the players hand that was mucked is not clearly one to identify his cards them tell me what would be. If the players at the table could have, and we all said we could, and then that player could have told you what the cards were before he looked that them, then how in the hell is that not "CLEAR". Tell us a better way so that we may exercise this when it happens again, cause it will happen again. |

Scott, i didn't look at what you referenced, but if you are correct, then the rule says "before" betting. My question was reveling my cards after I bet. Under Section 15 rule # 22, i could give a rats ass about hurting another players rights if it means encourging them not to chase their draw and beat me. Yes it is a friendly game, but we are competing, this is why points are played for and kept. |

James....According to the rules, the issue of exposing cards are addressed in two locations. In Section 1 (Proper Behavior), under "Poker Etiquette", it states that "Revealing the contents of a live hand in a multihanded pot before betting is complete is considered improper, grounds for warning, suspention or barring.
Under Section 15 (Tournaments), rule 22 states, "Showing cards from a live hand during the action injures the rights of other players still competing....the player may be penalized(but his hand will not be ruled dead."
This has been discussed with league management and this type of activity is frowned upon in this league. |

James....I was the TD that made the decision that the players hand was dead. The reason for this decision was pointed out in your comments...(Reading the rules suggest that if his hand can be clearly identified then the hand should be recovered if it is in the best interest of the game.). In this particular case, I was informed that the cards in the muck pile would have to be looked at by the players that folded their cards to determine what (remaining) cards were owned by the player that mucked his cards. This did not fall into my interpretation of "clearly identified". |

At Randalls aplayer acidently pushed his cards into the mucked cards(had KK). The player was in the hand, and called a bet that consisted of about half his chip stack. The TD said his hand was dead. Reading the rules suggest that if his hand can be clearly identified then the hand should be recovered if it is in the best interest of the game. TD said it did not matter, once you muck your cards they are dead. So do we play by the rules or what the TD says?? |

I have looked over the rules page and don't find any rule that declares a hand dead if you expose your hand to other players after making a bet. I have seen this as a tool to get other players to fold and not chase there outs. Is there any clarification on this? |

What value do you place on being able to play poker for free at various establishments? Do you value it enough to support our locations by making purchases of their food and beverages? Please consider doing so if you don't normally spend anything.
For those of you that continue to support our league and our venues by making purchases....I personnally thank you! |

Per some people's suggestions, I have added this new 'comments' page. Please feel free to post about anything on this page, but keep it clean.
Please try to provide feedback about the website itself so we can work to provide you with the most useful information.
Very soon you will be able to search for point results by player so people can see where their points are coming from. |
